Random Acts of Kindness Winners

The following students have received prizes through our Random Acts of Kindness Campaign at Ellinwood Middle / High School.  Winners were randomly selected from a group of students who had been recognized by staff in our building for engaging in an act of kindness.

Homecoming Events

Attention:

The homecoming parade will begin at 2:15pm tomorrow, 9/22, starting at EHS and will culminate in a Pep Assembly at Wolf Park by the band shell.

The crowning ceremony will be at 6:30pm at the football field followed by the football game at 7pm.

The homecoming dance will be at the football field after the game.

Come out and celebrate homecoming with the EAGLES!!

Ellinwood Recreation Board Appointment-Ellinwood Public Schools USD 355

Ellinwood Public Schools-USD 355 is responsible for appointing a member of the ERC board for a four year term beginning July of 2017.  Interested patrons may contact the central office (620-564-3226 or aporter@usd355.org ) to identify their candidacy to be considered for the appointment.

The USD 355 Board of Education will conduct its regular meeting on Monday, June 12th.  Tentative agenda items include Science and Social Studies Curriculum, Memorandum of Understanding (St. Joseph), and 2017-2018 Fee Schedule.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the Ellinwood School/Community Library.

USD 355 Summer Lunch Program

With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about the Summer Lunch Program.  Ellinwood School District will once again be serving free meals to children age 1 to 18.

This summer, meals will again be served at the Ellinwood High School Cafeteria June 5 thru July 27; Monday thru Friday at 11:45 to 12:15. We will be closed on July 3,4 and 21.

Adult meals $3.30

Adults may not eat off a child’s tray.

Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

No food may leave the cafeteria.

Shirt and shoes required.

 

We will have Summer Snack Program again this year.  It will be served outside the Ellinwood Swimming Pool.  It is free for all children ages 1 to 18.  It will be served June 7 thru July 28; Monday thru Friday at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  No snacks will be served July 3, 4 and 21.  If the pool is closed due to the weather no snack will be served.

No food may leave the area.

The USD 355 Board of Education will conduct its regular meeting on Monday, May 8th.  Tentative agenda items include FBLA/ISTE Conference, 2017-2018 Fee Schedule, Memorandum of Understanding (SB 367), Science and Social Studies Curriculum, and Driver Education Program/Staffing/Vehicles.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the Ellinwood School/Community Library.

Ellinwood Public Education and Library Foundation Educator of the Year Award (Nomination Form)
